Lithium / Lithium-ion is there a difference

I recently purchased a lithium screwdriver. However a sparky informed me that it is different from lithium-ion tools

I told him that he was talking sh..te.

Is there a difference?

I'm not aware there is any types of lithums

Forget that post. I have just looked at the instructions and it is a lithium-ion screwdriver

On the box it just said Lithium.

My head is right up my Ar.e

This post interested me - I thought all lithium batteries were REALLY Li-on (Lithium-Ion) and people used 'Lithium' as shorthand for Li-on, but ..........
