How can anyone be a tradesman?

We just recently had the old boiler and hot water cylinder removed. In the old airing cupboard I was going to make it into a wardrobe as the room is only small. I mentioned to the other half that I was going to make it in a wardrobe and she said she wanted shelving to put the baby stuff in.
Brilliant, even easier!
I measured it up and went and bought three pieces of 25mm thick MDF for the shelves and had the rest of the sheet cut into 75mm strips as I’ll use these to fix to the walls to hold the shelves.
When we return home I remove the existing shelf and remove all the old pipes and foam the holes.
I then ask Angie where she wants the shelves putting.
She replies “where is the rail going to hang the clothes?”
WHAT F*CKING RAIL- YOU SAID YOU WANTED SHELVES FOR THE BABY STUFF
How can anyone be a tradesman when you have to deal with THICK people?
Obviously I'm in a bad mood now and really can't be arsed with the stupid airing cupboard and the even stupider girlfriend.
What would have been an easy job has now been made 10 times harder.
I might just take the p!ss and put up one shelf with a hanging rail underneath
