Hi everyone. I am not a kitchen fitter, just someone doing up their own kitchen, and need a bit of advice.
I have recently stripped out and re-installed my entire kitchen. The project is finished, and I am really pleased with it, but am seriously regretting making the decision not to install an island. I have now decided to install one, and have seen many instructional videos etc on how to secure the cabinets to the floor. It all seems very easy, except for the fact that I installed electric underfloor heating and therefore cannot screw anything through the floor tiles.
I am reasonably confident that I am not the first person ever to want to install a kitchen island onto a floor with underfloor heating, but I cannot for the life of me find any website which details how it can be achieved.
Can anyone point me in the right direction.
Many thanks

Re: Fitting a kitchen island advice
Put the cabinets in position - mark the floor inside where the end panels hit the floor (mark where the legs are too) - take cabinets away - glue 4 X 2 to the floor slightly inside the marks (3 or 4 mm) - when the glue is dry, drop cabinets over 4 X 2 and fix, (use plastic packers to take up the 3 or 4mm of play).
Glue = something like:-

One day it will all be firewood.
