Sealing between PVC cladding

Post by garfield16 »

I have recently replaced a shower.

Installation of the shower base went fine, and I decided to have PVC cladding rather than tiles on the wall. I used silicone sealant to secure the panels to corner pieces, but neglected to use silicone on the tongue/groove between the sheets of cladding. How serious was my error? The cladding sheets fit tightly together, but should I be trying to remove the cladding and add silicone between the sheets? If so, how should I remove the cladding sheets, which are fastened to Aquapanels with silicone?

Any advice appreciated.

You can rework the joint from the outside, but it will not as good as in the groove.
Removing the cladding is a sure fire way to convert a cack up into a fack up...
