cheap tyres

Post by handyman »

https://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk

this place is just an online version of national tyre.

Just got 4 barum 195/70r15 van tyres, fully fitted for £144 !

Bloody hell, thats a good price. If you phone them direct, they want £229 for the exact same tyres, fully fitted.

Please please please dont pee on my fire and find them cheaper :cb :cb

checked price for mine (needing some quite soon)

their price is £25 a tyre less then my dealers discounted price :thumbright:
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"
She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

they give you midweek dates first on the website, but i phoned them up (the actual tyre centre) and asked if i could get them fitted next day, they asked for order number, and it was fine (as they had the tyres in) :thumbright:

 Word of Caution

You can put in your registration and they come back with the suitable tyres.
Just noticed the tyres they came back with in my case are NOT the same as the ones fitted as original equipment - wrong size!
Double check the tyre sizes they come back with if you define vehicle or registration, not tyre size directly.

Correct Tyres - still £18 a tyre cheaper then dealer :thumbright:

I bought four Uniroyal Rainsports this week from a local firm I use. I paid £160 fitted with tracking checked and the price on Tyre Shopper was £180. £5 a tyre cheaper is worth having.

I didnt see a problem with it not having my tyres listed, as i have eyes that can see whats on the van now.

Together with a saving of £80 or so, I just about managed it

Used this site, printed off list of tyres and highlighted ones I wanted.

Drove to local trading estate (about 15 tyre places there) and asked first one what their price was, then showed them print out and asked them to price match the ones I wanted - got within £1 per tyre so good enough for me :thumbright:

I should add that I checked people like KwikFit on line and the tyres I wanted (Continental 185/55R15) on line at their "special internet price" were £80 + £10 fitting ea - I paid £66 inc Fitting ea, so nearly £100 less for set of 4
