So after just over 4 years of saving I got some money together to knock my toilet into the bathroom and then have it completely refitted and fully tiled along with a few other jobs around the house.
I got a few quotes and went with a builder who was not the cheapest but his previous work seemed great.
Long story short it was a complete nightmare as it can tend to be; what should have took a month took almost three and I was left with a really poor finish overall with a lot of my tiles having grout left on them dried! He even had to come back three times to sort the floor out as he has not screwed the ply down enough and it was cracking the grout.
Anyway its been almost a year and despite trying to clean my tiles last year, I've decided to give it another go as it's driving me crazy.
I've tried with a steamer, with a green scouring pad, with hot water and soap, with LTP grout stain remover and also a nylon drill brush but not to any real effect.
The tiles I bought were from B&Q and are the Indus stone effect porcelain (http://www.diy.com/departments/indus-be ... 665_BQ.prd) so they are not smooth but bumpy with groves.
If anyone has any tips and tricks I would be most appreciative as I really want to clean it up.

Re: Help with grout removal
Hate to say it but your grouts are ruined...The texture in your tiles are making it even harder... It is time to bring out the heavy artillery. I don't know why you chose the orange brush, your tiles are not glossy for you to ruin that and actually, even if they were some handyman still use blue brushes for removing excessive grouts. Point is, there is no going back and your tiles look like they can handle a harder punch, throw it at them. Get a harder brush - blue or even gray. Good luck :)
