Can anyone explain the photo numbering system on my phone?
https://www.gsmarc.com/motorola/moto-g-play/
When I take pics with my SLR or even the little P&S I sometimes use, the photos are numbered sequentially, but there appears to be no rhyme or reason to the numbers allocated to the pics taken with my phone.
Screenshot below of three pics taken within a few seconds of each other on my phone and then downloaded to my PC, the first part of the number is the date, but how is the rest arrived at, and/or what does it mean?
Photo numbering.

Re: Photo numbering.
I've worked out some of it, after the date the next four digits are the time - 14:31 etc., but that still leaves another five numbers unaccounted for, unless it's timed in nanoseconds as well!ayjay wrote: the first part of the number is the date, but how is the rest arrived at, and/or what does it mean?
One day it will all be firewood.
