Kitchen tiles alternative.

After 6 years, we want to change the tiles above the kitchen work top. Is there a new way of covering material ie: Formica type sheeting or similar? I fitted Acrylic sheet to over a bath for a shower that was very quick and effective. I know this isn't fire rated but wondered if a new material is now available? Thanks in advance.

You could use glass, plenty options available with custom sizes, shapes and colours.
