Black and Decker circular saw type 1 ks55

Post by Mick Coleman »

Hi
I have a Black and Decker circular saw type 1 ks55
16mm bore
Could anyone tell me a good circular saw blade for it.
I want one that will cut doors and leave a nice finish on both sides of the doors i cut.
Thanks

what size is the blade kerk [2.1!!!] what diameter blade!!!

in general the more teeth the better but with doors your better to score along the cut line on top and the end with a stanley knife

i use freid pro blades

score

Should i only have to score one side
i take it its the side the blade will come out as the cut underneath should be good

sorry that should be kerf lol the blade thickness

yes exactly right because the teeth are pushing into the leading edge and curving up into the wood underneath the dammage comes as the teeth exit the top and front edge as theres nowt to support wood and stop the splintering

if its an expensive door or melamane board you can do one pass at 1 to 2mm then another full depth plus 2mm although you wil still need to score the front edge with a stanly knife :thumbright:

I can only find one on ebay that will fit it- dead link removed

There seems to be more with a larger bore, which will require reducing bushes, and also a lot of slightly larger blades.
