Hi,
I am planning to tile my Kitchen within the next few weeks, but there are some areas which are plasterboard. Is it ok to put tile adhesive straight onto plasterboard or will the board suck the moisture from the adhesive too quickly?
Apologies if this is a dumb question, i just want to be sure.
Thanks

Re: Tiling onto plasterboard
You need to cover the plasterboards with a primer before tiling. The best primer to use will be the one which is recommended by the adhesive manufacturer.
Do not use PVA.

Re: Tiling onto plasterboard
depends on what adhesive you use also,if the tiles arnt that big over 250-300mm,then you can use a good branded tubbed adhesive..mapei/weber/bal/ardex etc..and these come with the acrylic already in the mix,so no priming is needed.
