Seems strange to do a job well and then give up............seems a classic case of Rogue client and the roofer got his own back.

Yes chas. im pretty sure he called it sy, & said to use it as its very flexible & would be user freindly for the Obstacle course it had to get over to get to consumer unit.ultimatehandyman wrote:martyn1967 wrote:4 got to sayroyaloakcarpentry wrote:Looks like marine cable that hasn't got enough clips along its length too.

I'm not sure what marine cable is, so it might just be another name for it.
That cable looks like SY Multi flex (flexible armoured cable), we use it quite a bit at our place for connecting to machines that move.

SUN.. where?.. We are in England.sparkydude wrote:SY flex, Great for machines , and temporary jobs, Crap for permanent installs as after a few years in the sun, the outer clear sheath goes opaque and then eventually becomes brittle and falls off. Personally i would have used it for the tricky house bit a then changed to SWA for the exterior part as the black sheath does not suffer from UV radiation as much as the SY flex.
