When you're ready this is how you can point Windows Backup at the E drive.

Click Start -> Control Panel, change the view to large icons
Open Backup and Restore, click "set up backup". When you're prompted for a destination choose the E drive.
When asked what to backup I choose "Let me choose" as then you know what's beening backed up.
Continue through the wizard choosing what to backup and set a schedule.

Why change the icons

You don't have to change the icons, but it makes it easier for me to give instructions as otherwise I have to work out which category Backup and Restore is under! It's under System and Security if you want to leave it as is.

Done a backup to drive E and set it every Sunday at 19:00 or was it 07:00

Made a start up disk while I was in the same box.

Actually.

Why is the "w" got a faded line down the middle of it, haven't noticed it on any of the others.

Sorry, been trying to keep up but had quite a bit going off recently - you were clearly in capable hands!
