Bloody rabbits!!!

Post by BillyGoat »

Caught the rabbit in the spare room and chased her back downstairs.

Had a look at the lamp and the little bugger had ate the cable. Why don't they get electrocuted????? Through the live in most places, but neutral too in others..... ::b ::b ::b

I've lost count of how many cables, speakers, laptop chargers (about 7), sub cables, TV wires. Wish I could pull their bloody teeth out.

you intervened to early if you want nature to take its course

no seriously try things like polish on the cable or give it easier to get to branches with bark on as they need to keep there teeth down

They have all sorts of things to eat BA, just they LOVE cables more

We've brought all sorts of stuff in the past, tried polish, etc but nothing stops them checking cables.

We laughed once watching Max, the big rabbit......sprayed some 'anti bite bitter apple' in front of him. He went over, sniffed it and took a bite out of it in front of us!!!

at least if you surround valuable cables with pipe you spend your time changing bits off pipe and not expensive wire

Not be a huge problem soon.....once I've got some other stuff out the way, all of the TV stuff is going up on the wall and AV stuff will be the other side of the room in a cabinet

My missus kept a house rabbit when we first met and after I moved in the bl00d rabbit would p155 in my shoes EVERY time I left them lying around :angryfire: then the little fcuker chewed EVERY cable hanging out the back of my PC and at the time I had one of those dual video card arrangements with an external piggy-back cable between the two - impossible to buy the cable separately too ::b

I tried getting the tw@t electrocuted but it always managed to nibble down to the live conductor without touching it...... seems like they can sense electric fields or summat....

Man that rabbit wound me up :angryfire: - it was even worse when it used to steal the stach of p0t and scoff it!

ahhhh those were the days.......
Don't take it personally......

Angie used to have a house Rabbit at the last house, it was a lovely little thing.

It used to bite through cables for fun though, on one occasion it was lucky not to have been electrocuted.

Quadrant trunking is good, it runs along the bottom of the skirting board and is self adhesive. Here you can see the wires leading from the socket-

I used D line trunking from the socket to the floor and then quadrant trunking along the skirting board, this made the cables bunny proof

Looks miles better with the trunking!

Most of the power supplies have been laptop things though, never been a problem as I could always replace them for free.....only recently my supply has started to dwindle, awkward to trunk them  most of the other cables were kettle leads and things.

It's amazing how many they have completely cut and never died or tripped the RCD on the house, lucky buggers.
