Fitting door on bridging unit
Hi
I am trying to fit door into a pre assembled bridging unit. Pics below show the unit with pre drilled holes, door and the hinges/plates.
It should be straight forward BUT.
The 2 hinges goes into the pre drilled holes in the door is no issue.
However, do you agree there are no pre drilled holes for the hinge plates inside the unit? And they are drilled on the outside of the unit? Or how does it work?!
Thanks

Check the centres and pilot some holes in top. Job done. Did you get a strut?

Not sure which centres you mean? I got what's in the pic plus dumpers and braking arm- stay top flap
Can I drill through the outside holes already there? I measured and it's where the plates should sit from inside.

You've assembled the piece with the hinge holes upside down. Just take the unit apart and reverse that piece.

This is how it came, pre assembled. I thought of it but can't do that! How do you assemble it, see the pic below about the fittings if you see what I mean?banjerbill wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 7:48 pm You've assembled the piece with the hinge holes upside down. Edit reply
No they don't.
Turn cams 3/4 turn anti clockwise and knock sides off.
I agree with OP it's manufactured wrong though, send it back..... not much luck with kitchen suppliers, eh?

I thought that earlier but Yartin said "pre-assembled", so it may be glued. If turned over, the cams will be on the inside - be neater to drill through.banjerbill wrote: ↑Fri Jun 25, 2021 7:48 pm You've assembled the piece with the hinge holes upside down.
