I went to sainsburys yesterday and paid £1.50 for unleaded, most petrol stations in the area were £1.57 .

It's gone up another 5p/litre yesterday. Only ONE day after I paid £1.72 - it's now £1.77. Bandits!
Don't take it personally......

It’s profiteering, bugger all to do with soaring wholesale petrol price rises.

Keeping an eye on petrol prices
Interesting article on petrol prices. In real terms it seems it has been higher in the past , look at 2011 and 2013 although granted the data only goes up to 2021

Paid £1.71 for diesel today
Luckily, I do less than 2,500 miles a year in my van. Mrs d'A does about 5,000 a year including a couple of 300-mile round trips to see her sister and we take her car when we go on holiday to Cornwell. We're not big users ourselves but this profiteering will lead to higher prices all round.
