How to prime filler before painting? Which product?
Hi,
I have a few hairline cracks which I have now filled. What primer can I use?
I have used poly cell product.
I have zinnser peal stop to hand. Can this be used on filler?
Or should I buy 123 bullseye? I am happy to buy another product.
I am a novice. I do not feel confident mixing emulsion and paint.

You can prime the filler with some of the emulsion that you will be using to paint the ceiling / wall. Just water it down slightly first.

How much water do I use?
So I can’t use 123 bullseye or peal stop?

Roughly 20% water to 80% emulsion. It doesn't have to be accurate.
I wouldn't. I would use watered down emulsion.

How would you measure the 20/80 split? I have a small measuring cup. Which can has measurements of 30ml, 60ml, 90ml and 120ml. On the other side it’s 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4.
It’s a small area so I wouldn’t need much. So if I used 60ml of emulsion do I add 12ml of water?

Peel stop would be fine, Garda too. Not so keen on 123 on filler. Using a filler that doesn’t need priming such as toupret would help.
Watered down emulsion is the easiest.
