Where could I get one of these cables?

Post by Joe33 »

Hello,

My LG widescreen display has a power cable a bit like a laptops. Jack in back of display, to box unit, and then a clover head plug to 10amp 3 pin plug. It's too short for me. I like to buy a 2-3m version of the last bit - clover head plug to 10amp 3 pin plug.

Can anyone send me a link where I can buy one of these online?

Thanks, photos below:

My usual go to is amazon, with next day delivery and many different lengths to choose from. Prices from £4 2m to £13 for 5m lengths.

I'd also drop the fuse rating down, (the transformer has a max of output of 3.42amp and input of 1.6amp

So what amp fuse should I go with then? Can you put a 5amp fuse in a plug which says 13amp? Or must you buy a 5 amp plug for a 5 amp fuse and 13 amp plug for a 13amp fuse etc. ?

Thanks for the help.

No, 13Amp on the plug means the highest rating fuse you can put in it.
So yes, you can put a smaller Amp size fuse in a 13A plug

Above is a picture of a 3,5 + 13A fuse, they are the same physical size so they will fit in a 13A plug. (one at a time obviously)

oh, you want a 3A fuse. (the red one)

Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
