Hi Guys
I’m wanting to put power to my garage would I need armour cable for the run or just the bit that goes from the garage to the house approximately 6m where it enters into the loft, then join with twin and earth to the CU. (I live in a bungalow)

The more joints a cable has the more chance to go wrong.

I have a similar connection from my garage to outbuildings for power and light. The armoured cable is fitted to a fused spur in the garage and fused isolation switches at the other end.

I used 20m of 6mm2 SWA attached via a catenery cable about 12ft above my head into my house. I could have used this stuff to save more money:

If it's just for 6m I'd use the tuff stuff.
By the way I'm not an elctrician. Most of the advice I received on here last year while I was doing mine.
