Raking on gravel - help!
I have a hedge between my house and next door, which needs trimming every so often. Our front garden now has granite chipipngs (had to remove the grass due to chaeffer bugs). This is fine, but means that when I've trimmed the hedge, raking up the cuttings is a nightmare as I end up just raking the chippings/gravel.
Can anyone advise a good way to rake up the trimmings easily?

Put a tarpaulin or similar down before cutting the hedge.

This is where a blower vac is handy. I blow the cuttings to asphalt and vacuum up there, works for me on gravel. See https://www.screwfix.com/p/mac-allister ... /404fg#_=p

You soon get the distance sussed, you have enough blow for the leaves but not the gravel about 9 to 12 inches from nozzle to ground.
They are handy for lots of garden jobs

Is using a blower / vac not making more work? Since you have to then get said vac, use it and empty it, but a tarp all you do is collect its 4 corners and take it and shake it into the bin
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.
Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

That may well be true but I find it easy with my blower.

Personally I do a mix of the both. Sheets down which catch most of the cuttings and as said can be lifted into the bin and then much less to blow into a pile.
Personally I find gravel horrible stuff in a garden and don't worry in the slightest if some of it ends up in the bin.
