loft hatch cover

i am trying to change a push-up hatch cover to a hinged down one. i will have to cut the existing one down to size. but i cant figure out how to hang it it has a fitted acatrave all round.
and has you can see ( hopefully).it is rounded. how can i do it.

Hello, welcome to the forum, may I suggest you try posting your pictures and video again, only one worked, All we see is
