Cat flap installation

Really looking for feedback from you guys. Recently had these cat flap installed and I have been informed that this would be the standard and then obviously filled with Silicone.
Have a look at the photos and give me your opinion

It has been mounted on its side and the hole is too big, but that maybe because it is a replacement (Judging by the small round holes.)

It is mounted correctly, just the way the photos has been uploaded

Looks like a used cat flap if it was new you would have both inner and outer parts - looks like its also missing its lock too

Installation isn't fantastic, looks like a cheap flap - staywell may some decent ones

Edit. It looks twisted, top left is pinched

That's as rough as a junkies carpet!

I fitted one a few months ago. As I recall you trace around the cat flap and come in 11mm. That's the roughest job I've seen. They've totally f*ck your door. You'll need to get a proper joiner in to customise some kind of external trim to hide the gap.

Sack who ever fitted that. They haven't a clue what they're doing.

To remedy this using the cat flap you have it needs to be turned verticle. The gap will need to be adjusted using strip wood https://www.diy.com/departments/smooth- ... lsrc=3p.ds which is not too thick and easily formed to form a subframe to set the flap in. The existing hole may need to be opened up slightly first.

The strip wood subframe would still work, a bit of paint to make good.
