Yes recip saw blades are universal, or at least they should be.

Cheers Rorschach, Just tried a blade in and it fits, now maybe you could explain one of the instructions!
In the book it says:
Removing saw blade.
Rotate the tool-free blade clamp lever (4) in clockwise direction and hold. Pull the blade out of the blade holder and release the clamp lever (4)?

I pulled the clamp lever down and the blade came out ok but I can't figure out what they mean by rotating it! doesn't seem to move in any direction rather than down or up! am I missing something?
Seemed easy enough to assemble, also would you reccomend using those vibration type gloves with this tool?

it probably is a bad translation try pivot down/up rather than rotate
yes the lever will be rotating around the pivot so rotating as far as thats concerned

Some clamps rotate, others push down. I think their instructions are wrong.

On studying the intructions it looks like you can lenthen the saw table and this would give me the oprtunity to shorten the blades operating area, nice option!

Yes this is common so you don't wear only one area of the blade which can happen if you cut material thinner than the blade is specified for, though to be honest most of the time I have not needed to move the "shoe" when using mine. For special jobs in tight places I have trimmed down an old blade to get it to fit, a couple of minutes getting out the angle grinder was better than doing it by hand! lol

If you read the whole topic, I will believe you will find that it has been taken out of context, not to mention it was said 8 years ago The subject is about tree root removal, so the question was "Got an angle grinder?" then back to the main point of a reciprocating saw, "shorten the blade if needed"
